FADO IN BAIRRO ALTO
Being the Fado a tradition that cannot be translated, the Café Luso summons all those who visit us to return and feel the sounds and tastes of the Portuguese Soul.
Despite all teh influences of Fado, as a result of Portuguese diaspora, it was cleary identified since XIX century as a genuine national song. The first golden period happened along the xxth century.
The voice is necessarily accopmpanied bt the portuguese guitar and viola, but also other instruments such as contrabass, piano, bass and cello.
The black is prevalent on the apparel, feminine and masculine; the use of black clothes visually emphasizes the sadness and nostalgia, feelings that overwhelm the traditional fado. Often we see a women using a shawl and this ornament composes the figure with meaning, and could be dashing and rich.
