    “POP COCK” WENT TO CHINA

    The most recent sculpture by Joana Vasconcelos, a plastic artist, was inaugurated on March 26 in Beijing in the 798 Art District.

    With the name of Pop Galo, the Portuguese artist says that this work, with 10 meters, was “Inspired by one of the most relevant symbols of Portuguese culture, the Barcelos cock; Pop Galo reconciles the tradition of national tiles with LED technology “.

    The inauguration ceremony was part of the official visit of the Portuguese Government to the Republic of China, with one of the objectives of promoting Portugal as a tourist destination.
