TERESA TAROUCA, THE SUBLIME ART OF SINGING SADNESS

On November 11, discreetly, just as she sang, left the fado singer Teresa Tarouca.

She also had the merit of being the first fado singer to interpret Fernando Pessoa’s poems.

In her musical choices, Teresa Tarouca expressed special appreciation for Alfredo Marceneiro, João Ferreira-Rosa, Pedro Homem de Mello and, from the most recent authors, Tiago Torres da Silva.

She was also known for the sensitive melancholy with which she interpreted the darkest themes.
