    Fado & Food Group participates in the sudden death of Executive Chef Alexis Gregory on 10.01.20.

    Management and Director present warm condolences to Family, Friends and Colleagues.

    In 2009, Chef Alexis Gregory embraced the challenge of securing one of two compelling cultural components in a fado house: the kitchen of Café Luso.

    He managed to demystify and reinvent the traditional Portuguese cuisine, but respecting the matrix.

    In 2012, he accumulated the functions of Executive Chef of Café Luso and Adega Machado restaurants.

    He participated regularly in trainings, competitions and gastronomic events, always bearing the names of the houses where he worked and the Group.

    Eminently creative, he has developed in recent years seasonal letter proposals that demanded his demanding dedication. Among them we highlight the tasting menu of Adega Machado, innovation in fado houses.

    He dedicated his last months to the elaboration of the new debut letter of Café Luso, and of the menu of St. Valentine.

    It fostered enthusiasm and involved its teams, sought to cooperate in extending service to room and artistic teams.

    All teams, but especially those he headed in shock, are deeply dismayed but prepared and encouraged to continue a project to which the Executive Chef has made invaluable contribution, acknowledged and never forgotten.
