New Year’s Eve

This year, New Year’s Eve at Café Luso will be different.

It is the last one before Café Luso celebrates 100 years of history, and we want to spend it going back to the heart of Fado: music that springs up spontaneously at the table, among friends, with no distance between those who sing and those who listen.

Fado was born in homes, taverns and streets. It was sung at the table, with the guitar passed from hand to hand. That is the spirit of Fado à Solta: a night where tradition meets a new generation of fadistas, and where joy is Fado too.

This year there is no set New Year’s Eve menu. Each table chooses couvert, starter, main course and dessert from our à la carte menu and dines at its own pace, while the music and the celebration take over the room.

Because what’s special isn’t a menu created for a single night. It’s the night itself.

Fado sung up close. Voices that meet. Guitars, toasts, surprises. And at midnight, a sparkling wine toast in a historic room entering its centenary year.
